Our make and take wooden photo frames are fun and easy to paint. Best of all – we take care of everything. We bring the supplies, provide the set up and clean up – and our awesome host helps your guests spur their own creativity to create something fun and memorable – even if they have zero artistic abilities!
Our super simple and fun “tape and paint” technique lends itself to some super creative and fun geometric patterns.
You can even have your school name or event name laser engraved on each frame (before the event) for a very personal touch!
A fantastic combination of Make and Take and photo novelty that is completely unique.
Our Fun Frames To Go are a great as a stand alone – guided Do-It-Yourself make and take – or combined with printed photos!
We bring a variety of wooden frames, paint, paint brushes and some really cool tips and techniques to help anyone make a great-looking, personalized photo frame! We can even add “print on demand” 4×6 photos so your guests can leave with a print of their favorite photo in the frame that they just painted.
Hosted by Kim Johnson, this event can be done anywhere in the country. A second staff member is needed if we print photos too!

- We can be most productive indoors, if outdoors we must be protected from wind and direct sunlight and under cover or a tent & additional fees will apply.
How many photo frames will you make?
- We will predetermine with you the number we bring to your event.
- We can easily handle 40-60 per hour.
Do we have to provide helpers?
- If you’re expecting a very large crowd then it’s helpful to have someone to manage the line – especially during pandemic times of social distancing.
- We’re pretty good at it, but since we’re focused on assisting the next person in line, we can’t always manage the line too. You’ll know the needs of your event better than us. If you think you’ll need a volunteer – please arrange it in advance.
- It’s also helpful to have an assistant when it’s time to close down the line (often we have to do this as much as 30-60 minutes before the event ends to make sure we can serve everyone in line).
Can we do our event outdoors?
- Please let us know the event is outdoors before we give a price quote as events are always quoted with indoor pricing.
- Note that all outdoor events are scheduled at the customer’s risk – so we strongly recommend that you have a backup plan.
- To Go Events/Fun Fotos To Go will always maintain the right to refuse to set up outdoors if there is a safety issue because of weather.
- If set up outdoors a 10×10 tent should be provided as a shelter for the computer, printer and other electronics that can be affected by heat, wind and moisture.
- Tents outdoors should have sidewalls available to protect from wind.
- Outdoor events may cause inconsistencies in print quality because of moisture, heat etc. We always recommend being indoors.
- Note that if we are taking photos against a green screen, winds can make the green screen act like a sail – so a well-staked tent and protection from wind will make your event go smoother. Proper planning helps.
What kind of customizing options are available?
- Logos or event info Laser engraved on each photo frame (in advance, before painting).
- Custom colors to match company or school colors exactly
Do you charge by the piece or by the hour?
We schedule this event for up to four hours with a set number of frames available (usually 150-200). And continue for up to the maximum time or the maximum number of frames have been painted.
